We would love to hear from you with a suggestion for content for future Newsletters
Webinars - What they are and how you can use them in your business
Servicing clients just around the corner from you is easy - they can drive straight to your door or see your amazing local marketing or meet you at the local networking events.
But how do you build a relationship with potential customers that aren't easy to great too face to face...?
Or perhaps you have a great service that needs to be explained or supported face to face to get maximum benefit to your customers...?
Travel is always costly - even with the price of fuel coming down from the heady heights of not that long ago - the big issue is the time cost spent travelling.
We choose to live in Gisborne and service customers throughout New Zealand and overseas - costs - especially the time cost has always been a barrier to get to visit our clients regularly - which is what we want to continue to do.
There's also the cost of displaying at all those trade shows and conferences - that's a great way to spend time out of the office for dubious return for your precious time.
Imagine a mechanism that is easy to use & cheap to run that gets you in front of your potential and existing customers - and you don’t need to leave your office to do it.
Every week you could be connecting with potential new clients from all over the world - they can see your product and service offerings - your testimonials and even take a guided tour around your premises - without leaving their offices.
Let technology be your friend...!
All you need is a fast(ish) web connection, a cheap set of headphones and web based software called GoToWebinar.
This great "Software as a Service" (or SaaS in geek-speak) is the current best practise leader in web based webinars and online meetings.
Now I hope you haven't turned off at this stage - this isn't just a blatant plug for the software - really - because it is how you use this software that will really reap the benefits - especially in combination with your web site.
There's an easy sign up process and a 30 day free trial so that you can road test the webinar software.
You could schedule a free run through of your best product or service every Friday afternoon that new contacts would be directed to through the week and it would also be promoted on your web site.
Making a commitment to do this regularly means that people can choose to make it fit with their schedule and once having tried that first Webinar can tell all their friends how good it was - and in so doing make you look good.
This works really well if your industry can be considered complex - we've been undertaking a Webinar about Webinars for the last few Fridays and the feedback has been extremely positive.
A Webinar is just a seminar over the web so anything that you could present in a seminar format would work well for a webinar - we'll be doing more and more webinars and integrating them into our help and training for the services and products we provide.
Contact us if you'd like to chat about how to use webinars in your businesses or your new or reenergised online project...
Thanks for being our customer and thanks for reading...
Here’s the dates and times of our next Webinar about Webinars:
Fri, Feb 13, 2009 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM NZDT
Fri, Feb 20, 2009 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM NZDT
Fri, Feb 27, 2009 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM NZDT
Here are a few ideas how you could use Webinars:
A wedding caterer could use them for prospective customer once per week to run through their full service list with example photos of layouts and options for that special day.
A bed and breakfast operator could host a Webinar with a walk though of the rooms available as well as some ideas of local sights and places to visit.
A professional services consultant could use the Webinar to give some tips and hints about improving their customer's bottom line.
If a new client visited your web site they could register online for the upcoming Webinar easily and quickly.
If a potential new client contacts you during the week then let them know the Webinar will be available - it's a great way of getting engagement in an interactive way.
