Service Delivery Goal:

To reduce death rates, injury and disability from road traffic crashes for Turanganui A Kiwa Whanau

Community Injury Prevention is a Health Promotion Service that aims to:

  • reduce the number of incidence of death and injury, particularly in the area of road traffic and alcohol related injury
  • increase the number of injury prevention initiatives within the community
  • raise the awareness of injury prevention at a local and national level

Driver Licence Course

  • Assistance in obtaining a Learner Drivers Licence
  • Literacy support

  • Community based courses

Manaaki Tangata

  • Assisting groups and sports clubs with education around safe alcohol use

Iwi Road Safety

  • Advocacy for road safety issues
